The Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, continues its record-breaking run at the global box office, surpassing the ₹1600 crore milestone. Even in its third weekend after releasing on March 19, the film witnessed a noticeable jump in earnings on Sunday.

Production house Jio Studios shared the film’s 18-day worldwide earnings. In India, it collected ₹690 crore in its opening week and ₹271 crore in the second week. During its third weekend, the film earned ₹23 crore on Friday, ₹27 crore on Saturday, and ₹30 crore on Sunday. This brings its total India net collection to ₹1041 crore and gross to ₹1228 crore. With an overseas collection of ₹394 crore, the film’s worldwide total now stands at ₹1622 crore.

At this point, the only Indian films ahead of Dhurandhar 2 in the all-time highest-grossing list are Dangal, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Dangal has crossed ₹2000 crore globally, while Pushpa 2 has earned over ₹1871 crore and Baahubali 2 stands at ₹1788 crore. The original Dhurandhar had collected more than ₹1300 crore worldwide, and its sequel has already exceeded that figure quickly. After outperforming major hits like RRR, Jawan, Pathaan, KGF 2, and Kalki 2898 AD, it remains to be seen whether it can climb even higher in the rankings. About Dhurandhar 2

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, along with Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film features a cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Manav Gohil. Similar to its predecessor, the film was not released in Gulf countries and Pakistan but premiered in other regions.

The story revolves around Indian spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Ranveer Singh), who is recruited by IB chief Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan) for a counter-terror mission in Pakistan. The narrative incorporates real-life events such as the Kandahar hijacking and the 26/11 attacks, highlighting the efforts of intelligence agents working covertly to protect the nation. While the film received mixed critical feedback, with some labeling it as “propaganda,” it has performed exceptionally well commercially.
