As global travel steadily regains momentum, Emirates has announced a remarkable milestone in its operational recovery, restoring nearly 96 percent of its worldwide network. The Dubai-based airline is once again strengthening its presence across the skies, reconnecting travellers to destinations across continents while reaffirming Dubai’s status as one of the world’s most important aviation hubs.

The carrier is now operating flights to 137 destinations spread across 72 countries, supported by more than 1,300 weekly services. According to the airline, this currently represents around 75 percent of its pre-disruption capacity, a figure that reflects both growing passenger confidence and the accelerating return of international travel.

Over recent weeks, Emirates has progressively expanded operations throughout Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, West Asia, the Far East, and Australasia. The airline’s renewed connectivity has further positioned Dubai as a central gateway linking travellers across the globe. Despite operating under a reduced schedule during the disruption period, Emirates still carried approximately 4.7 million passengers between March and April, underlining the enduring demand for long-haul travel and the trust passengers continue to place in the airline’s service experience.

The airline is also continuing to elevate its onboard experience. Travelers can expect Emirates’ signature hospitality, including curated multi-course dining inspired by regional flavors alongside an extensive selection of premium beverages. Its award-winning ice entertainment platform now features more than 6,500 channels available in nearly 40 languages, offering everything from international cinema and television to music, podcasts, and audiobooks.

Connectivity in the skies has also become a major focus for the airline. Emirates confirmed that high-speed Wi-Fi and Starlink-powered internet services are now active on 28 aircraft, allowing passengers to remain connected throughout their journeys with faster and more reliable in-flight internet access.

To further encourage travellers, Emirates has introduced several flexible booking benefits. Customers booking eligible tickets can access one complimentary date change across cabin classes, while travelers also have the option to hold fares for 24 hours without additional charges.

The airline’s Dubai Connect program also continues to enhance the transit experience for international passengers. Eligible travellers with longer layovers in Dubai can receive complimentary stays at luxury hotels, airport transfers, meals, and visa support where required, transforming extended stopovers into a seamless part of the journey itself. Meanwhile, Emirates Skywards members are set to benefit from accelerated tier upgrades and bonus tier miles on qualifying flights through the summer travel season, offering loyal travellers additional incentives as global aviation rebounds.

As Emirates steadily rebuilds its network and increases capacity, the airline’s latest expansion reflects a broader resurgence within international aviation, one driven by renewed traveler confidence, enhanced connectivity, and a growing appetite for global exploration.
