Viktoriia Nimets, also known as “Bipolar_cat_” has been venturing into new territory following her recent move to Denver, Colorado, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born in Ukraine, Viktoriia came to the United States in 2015 to further her passion for photography, a pursuit that has been an integral part of her life for as long as she can remember. She describes photography as her way of sharing a unique perspective on life’s natural wonders.

Viktoriia’s artistic style blends vintage romance with organic expression, often showcased through her models’ body language and carefully composed scenes in natural settings. Her work captures emotion in its purest form, unfiltered, intimate, and timeless. While deeply devoted to her craft, Viktoriia also finds balance in life through traveling and spending time with her husband and cat. A naturally curious soul, Viktoriia finds great meaning in travel. When asked where she would live if money weren’t a factor, she immediately replied, “Hawaii.” Her experiences there left a profound mark. Between the island’s welcoming culture, lush landscapes, and crystal-blue waters, she found a sense of peace and inspiration unmatched by anywhere else. For Viktoriia, creative alignment begins with harmony between the mind and its environment. The serenity of nature allows her to see beauty unfold in spontaneous, almost magical ways, what she calls “the perfect picture.”

Though Hawaii remains her dream destination, Viktoriia is currently focused on exploring the natural wonders of Colorado, its mountains, state parks, and lakes, all of which continue to inspire her evolving body of work. Each day, she views as an opportunity for growth, both artistically and personally.

Viktoriia is humbled by the recent growth in her photography business, sharing, “Having the opportunity to work with beautifully genuine clients has made my job not feel like a job. Instead, it has given me a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment that words cannot describe.”

Grateful yet grounded, Viktoriia remains committed to mastering her craft and expressing her most authentic self through every frame she captures. Her journey is one of artistry, evolution, and fearless individuality. Love her or not, here comes Viktoriia.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH VIKTORIIA NIMETS
In this exclusive conversation, Viktoriia opens up about her evolution as an artist since moving to the United States, the spiritual connection she finds in Hawaii, her secret to capturing authenticity, and how she balances her creative pursuits with her personal life. Through her lens and her words, we glimpse not just the world she photographs, but the depth of heart and purpose behind it.
What first drew you to photography, and how has your vision evolved since moving from Ukraine to the U.S.?
My interest in photography stemmed from my passion for traveling. Once I came to the United States, I felt overwhelmed with opportunities, and my vision evolved through the sheer exposure to the natural wonders within the states.
You describe your photography as having a vintage and organic take on love. Can you explain what that means to you?
When I described my photography as having a vintage and organic take on love, that merely encapsulates its pureness from within. The vintage take refers to a classic style valued for its longevity, while the organic part refers to its naturalistic qualities.
How has moving to Colorado influenced your art compared to your time in Florida?
Living in Colorado has exposed me to a different style of terrain (mountains) and community. The move has helped me appreciate being outdoors more and getting involved with different personalities.
You mentioned Hawaii as your dream place. What does Hawaii mean to you creatively and spiritually?
Where do I begin? Haha, having been to Hawaii a handful of times, there is a feeling I cannot put into words that justifies my sense of belonging. Spiritually, I feel connected, both my conscious and subconscious are synced, knowing my soul is happiest on the island.
Your clients often describe your work as deeply emotional and genuine. What’s your secret to capturing authenticity?
Capturing authenticity is easier than you think! Just be yourself. While it’s simple in hindsight, people often struggle with confidence in their work and tend to adopt values and styles from others who receive praise. The results of one will not always translate to another. If you are working towards the betterment and uniqueness of yourself, people will recognize and appreciate you for what you have to offer.
How do you maintain balance between your creative life, travel, and personal time with your husband and cat?
Balance is not easy; however, my advice is to just live in the moment and take things as they come.
What has been your biggest lesson since turning your passion into a full-time business?
My biggest lesson is to listen to that inner voice. There is a reason you feel so strongly about something. If that feeling doesn’t dissipate with time, then maybe you should act on it.
How do you find inspiration on days when creativity feels distant?
This is a great question! On days when creativity feels distant or dull, I recharge and reflect on why I started in the first place. We are all human and cannot exert all our energy on one thing; rather, you recognize it and wait to feel refueled or recharged by focusing your time on something else that brings purpose.
What’s one moment in your photography journey that has stayed with you?
I cannot narrow down a singular moment that has stayed with me; rather, I have multiple. Receiving real feedback from clients has helped propel my business and photography journey. Without my clients, I would just have my perspective on photography.
