How did your journey from international journalism to science fiction shape your approach to storytelling?

Journalism taught me to ask questions, value evidence, and understand people. Science fiction lets me take those same instincts into the future, exploring how today's scientific and technological breakthroughs might reshape society while keeping human choices and emotions at the heart of every story. But shifting from fact-based journalism to fiction is a difficult journey.

What inspired you to create the Sci-Fi Galaxy series and its interconnected future world?

I wanted to follow humanity's journey beyond Earth over several generations. Each novel explores a different scientific frontier, but together they tell a larger story about how technology changes us, and how courage, compassion, and curiosity remain timeless human qualities.

Why do you believe science fiction is such a powerful genre for exploring today’s global challenges?

Science fiction allows us to ask tomorrow's questions before they become today's headlines. It provides a safe space to explore artificial intelligence, climate, genetics, and space exploration while focusing on the ethical choices that accompany every technological advance.

How do your experiences in geopolitical and international affairs influence the realism of your novels?

Living and working across several continents taught me that technology never exists in isolation. Every breakthrough affects politics, economics, culture, and human relationships. Those real-world complexities help make the future societies in my novels feel believable.

What inspired the story behind Space Shield: The Wrath of the Sun, and how does it expand the Sci-Fi Galaxy series?

I've long been fascinated by solar storms and humanity's growing dependence on technology. Space Shield imagines how a civilization already living and working on the Moon might unite to confront an existential threat, expanding the series from questions of identity to the survival of an entire planet.

How do you balance scientific accuracy with emotionally engaging characters and narratives?

Research gives my stories credibility, but characters give them meaning. I want readers to believe the science without ever losing sight of the people making difficult choices under extraordinary circumstances.

What fascinates you most about themes such as artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, and humanity's future?

These technologies aren't simply changing what we can do, they're changing what it means to be human. I'm fascinated by how innovation creates extraordinary opportunities while forcing us to confront timeless questions about identity, responsibility, and who shapes our future.

Why is it important for you to explore family, identity, and moral responsibility alongside advanced technology?

Technology only matters because it affects people. Whether I'm writing about AI, genetics, or space exploration, I'm really interested in families, relationships, and the moral choices that define us far more than the machines we create.

How do Arturo Rich, Airi Abe, and Noel Ward reflect the larger questions Space Shield asks about courage, responsibility, and survival?

Each faces impossible choices between personal ambition and the greater good. Their journeys show that humanity's greatest strength isn't technology itself, but our willingness to trust, sacrifice, and work together when everything we value is at risk.

What message do you hope readers take away after finishing Space Shield: The Wrath of the Sun?

I hope readers come away with a sense of wonder and optimism. Humanity faces enormous challenges, but history shows we're capable of remarkable ingenuity when we cooperate. The future isn't something that happens to us; it's something we build together. How do you approach creating believable political, scientific, and corporate systems within your fictional universe?

I begin with today's institutions and ask how they might evolve over the next century. Realistic futures emerge when scientific progress, economic incentives, political pressures, and human nature develop together rather than independently.

What does the orbital shield symbolize beyond protecting Earth from a catastrophic solar storm?

Kavach represents both humanity's greatest achievement and its greatest test. It shows our capacity to solve seemingly impossible problems, while reminding us that technology should serve everyone, not become a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.

What role does the ancient Olmec mosaic play beyond advancing the plot?

The mosaic reminds us that every civilization leaves knowledge for future generations. Sometimes the answers to tomorrow's problems begin by listening more carefully to the wisdom and warnings of the past.

What has the international recognition for your Sci-Fi Galaxy series meant to you as an author?

It's deeply encouraging because writing is such a solitary pursuit. Awards don't change why I write, but they remind me that stories grounded in science, hope, and human resilience can connect with readers across cultures.
